Long Face:
If you have a long face, it's good to add width at the sides of your head by bringing a few wispy strands of hair forward to sit just in front of the ears. Building your hair too high up on top of your head will make your face appear longer and should be avoided. Wearing your hair up in a bun that sits at the back of the head, rather than on top will help to balance out long features..
Heart Shaped Face:
A true heart-shaped face can be made to look less angular by creating some width at the chin. A smart bob or some waves that finish at the chin will help this effect.
Square Face:
The goal with a square face is to soften the hairline with bangs. Layering helps to soften the jaw line. A side parting will break up the square ness or the symmetry of your face. Waves which frame the face will also soften harsh angles.
Round Face:
Make a round face look more feminine by building height to the top of the hair. A topknot or cascade of curls on top of the head will create the effect of a more shapely face and will also add height to anyone wanting to look taller too.
